The TLD GPU-409-iHS is a 400Hz/28VDC hybrid GPU designed to optimize fuel efficiency for narrowbody aircrafts. The intelligent hybrid design allows the GPU-409-iHS to operate as a standard diesel GPU, with no requirement for external charging. The hybrid design does not require DEF/DPF after-treatment, which ultimately results in lower maintenance costs.
The unit achieves significantly longer operational time compared to fully electric GPUs. The hybrid system keeps the genset operating in its most efficient range, enabling approximately 30% lower fuel consumption compared to conventional diesel GPUs.
The unit is easily upgraded to full electric in the future by replacing the genset with additional battery packs.
