[Boise, December 3, 2024] – AERO Specialties, a leader in ground support equipment (GSE), has received approval from Boeing to be listed in the company’s Aircraft Maintenance Manuals. Starting in early 2025, AERO Specialties’ hydraulic power units (HPUs) for the B737NG and MAX will be included in these essential manuals.
HPUs are crucial for powering critical aircraft system tests, including landing gear, flaps and flight controls. As the industry pushes for more efficient operations, AERO Specialties is leading the way with HPUs designed to streamline maintenance and reduce downtime.
“Our HPUs are game changers,” said Brad Streeter, CEO of AERO Specialties. “Every minute an aircraft is grounded costs money. Our HPUs simplify the testing process, allowing technicians to get planes back in service quickly and safely, minimizing ground time and maximizing revenue.”
Developed with input from global aviation technicians, AERO Specialties’ HPUs feature a digital interface that allows the tracking of fluid flow, pressure, temperature, aircraft tail number, operator, and operating time — providing unprecedented data capture and operational insights.
“By eliminating manual adjustments, our HPUs let technicians focus solely on the aircraft,” said Streeter. “Boeing’s approval of our HPUs in their Aircraft Maintenance Manuals is a great recognition of the time and cost savings we offer.”
AERO Specialties continues to drive innovation in aviation ground support, providing the industry’s most reliable and efficient equipment to keep aircraft in the air.
