Air Start Straight Coupler with check valve and stainless steel screens. Features zinc-plated hardware for extreme weather durability. Mates with all industry standard commercial air start nipples. 3.5-inch outer diameter hose flange. Rugged design and easy maintenance and overhaul. Positive “Lock” and “Unlock” positions. A colored ring identifier visually assures that the coupling is in the locked position. Three separate locking positions. Extra heavy duty handle resists bending. Semi-circle handle can be indexed for clearance in all aircraft panels. Handle designed for access to recessed aircraft nipples.
Use the 4-Inch T-Bolt Hose Clamp (001423) to secure the Air Start Hose Only to coupler flanges. Use the 4.25-Inch T-Bolt Hose Clamp (001887) to secure the Air Start Unit Hose, Scuff Cover or Hose-Cover Assembly to coupler flanges.
*This coupler is also compatible with Northrop T–38 Talon aircraft.
