The TLD GPU-406-T-CUP-28 Aircraft Ground Power Unit features an optimized 1,846 RPM brushless revolving field generator, which efficiently produces 60 kVA (60 kW) 400 Hz AC and 28V DC power to start and service AC/DC powered aircraft. Designed with operators in mind, the GPU-406 Ground Power Unit’s full-size performance comes in a compact size, allowing for easier handling and better mobility near aircraft while reduced sound levels ensure customer and passenger comfort. Powder-coated aluminum and fiberglass panels that surround a rugged galvanized steel chassis are a durable, yet lightweight alternative to traditional designs. Mobility is enhanced by a rubber torsion axle, tight turn radius fifth-wheel steering, simple direct-acting brakes, and a safe no-drop towbar. The units include a Cummins diesel engine meeting U.S. Tier 4F emission standards.
